The truth about Bipolar Disorder...

The truth about bipolar disorder is that it is a gift! I love being bipolar. Of course, now I look at all the negatives like a gift from God... to see what lesson He wants me to learn from that particular blessing?!!

So, if I have insomnia, I get excited!!! So many more hours to work, to create, to soak in the bath tub...

And, now as I go through life with a stepford wife mask, it's very interesting to watch people's reactions to me. As I play the perfect trophy wife, sexy, sweet, intelligent—great home, great parties... Excellent mother. In short, a paragon. Quite impossibly perfect!!!

So as I ask my beloved husband of 16 years for a trial separation, it is killing me. But I smile through the tears. In my mind, the discussions are long over. Now is the time to be. To just live and let live. No chains of love. No shackles...

Love,
Jhilmil

I am very interested in your experience with yoga treating bipolar disorder...I am looking for someone to correspond with regarding yoga as a mental health therapeutic, as it is something I am trying to pursue professionally. Would you be willing to email with me?
Thanks!

I hope you have the sense to take the meds the doctors prescribe, and to continue taking them. Yoga has no effect on bipolar disorder. Yoga is wonderful, but it doesn't do anything for bipolar.

Thanks for writing! Yes, I am now on strong medication, have put on a lot of eight, feel sluggish, less happy, less positive. I am trying to use yoga to get back some verve into life. My husband and family seem happier though, so if we are living for others, which is what yoga prescribes, I guess I am doing the right thing.

I strongly disagree with the comment that yoga does nothing for bipolar -- it can do a great deal, as part of a balanced approach that includes meds when appropriate.

I hope you are well.

Bipolar disorder is not a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders characterized by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood, clinically referred to as mania. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present. http://www.buy-xanax-online-now.com/
